Absorption, Clothes, and Leaves

Lara amazes me every day! She is at that age where she is absorbing everything very quickly...like, this morning, I said, "Lara, do you want to sing itsy bitsy spider?" And she put her fingers together (to make the spider) and starts singing, "dee dee dee dee dee." And she is copying facial expressions so much now, and it cracks me up. I can't even begin to describe the look she gave me this morning, after I asked her question. She was copying my questioning stare, and Dustin and I cracked up.

However, excuse me, though, but what is this shaking our head no business in regards to eating our lentil porridge or squash??? We don't say no to mommy!!
I am having a serious clothes-problem. Lara has nothing to wear! She has all but outgrown her summer things, so I bought her some fall things, but it is too hot! So if you see her wearing the same outfit over and over, I promise: I am washing them first.

Here, we are, playing in the leaves. Lara did not really like it though. And Daddy certainly didn't like doing the raking! So none of us were having fun yesterday, despite what the pics might look like!

Summer Start

Dustin and I planted tomato plants last night.  The evening was stunningly beautiful. Granted I had to put on a sweatshirt, but it was on...
