Ancestors and Babes

We spent the day with my family today to see little Christian. He is looking great, btw! While there, my dad passed on some super old photos, which I found very interesting.

This is a picture of Lara's great, great, great grandfather Albert Terrell Burns, and his wife Susan McBride.

This is a picture of Lara's Great, great, great, great (yes, that's 4) grandfather Therrell Marion Burns.

And this is the home constructed by Benjamin Franklin Burns, who was born in 1777 in Liverpool, England. I am not sure when he came to America, but he eventually settled in Talladega, Alabama and built this home there. Benjamin Franklin (Burns) would be Lara's 5-greats granddad. This picture was actually taken in 2002.

While I find it so interesting to see our ancestors, it is also feels sort of spooky. Now, to bring ourselves back to the present, here are pictures from today...
