We're Home

We got back last night from spending some time with Dustin's family. Dustin's sister and brother-in-law are headed to Virginia next month for Amber to start her postgraduate work, so we went to the wishing-you-well gathering and decided to just spend the night at his parents'. It's always easier to do that with a toddler so you aren't having to rush back home for bedtime. While there, we swam, ate homemade ice cream, got our first sunburns for the season (except Lara), and got a lesson in canning green beans. Lara LOVED the ice cream and lemonade, tried to help with the green beans, gave a sweet "hi" to everyone she saw, and did a lot of walking. A great way to spend a summer weekend.

by the way, here is a fun letter website I found out about from another blogger. Have your kids give it a try!

Summer Start

Dustin and I planted tomato plants last night.  The evening was stunningly beautiful. Granted I had to put on a sweatshirt, but it was on...
