Family Values

It can be so easy to go through life doing the same things and thinking the same things, without having the intentionality of living better. I am always living a consistent life-consistency in always thinking I need to do more of this, I need to spend more time with so-and-so. I want to have more consistency in living a purposeful life. That being said, I sat down this morning and wrote out a few family values, ideals that I want to see flourish in our family time. But I decided on these after some prayer time with God, asking that He would guide me in creating these values.

God, I proclaim you Lord over my family. Help us to seek you first in every day and set our priorities in perfect order. reveal to me how to properly put our family before work, friends, activities, and interests. Show me what I can do right now to demonstrate that this position is in my heart. Tell me how to prioritize everything so that whatever steals life away, or has no lasting purpose, will not occupy our time. Help us to choose a simplicity of life that will allow us to spend time together and with you, Lord...

Truth-reveling in Christ's love, teaching our children to follow God.

Hospitality-reaching out to people around us, serving, and helping.

Consistency-In maintaining our purposeful values, in doing Lara's exercises, in spending time together.

Enjoy & Relax-Our time together is short. Enjoy being with one another and relax, allowing God's grace, redemption, and power to take control.

Simplicity-spend less money, take less drives.
