Poor Dustin woke up at 4:45 this morning to be an election judge. That means at least one person is not going to look at me funny (judgingly) when i go to vote. dustin will be there until about 8pm after they've counted the votes to make sure the machine counted them right. i told him not to tamper with the votes (oh, yes, we are still doing mark-the-oval-with-your-pencil thing), but we'll see. dustin has strong feelings about our government and our voting system, and he might erase all the votes. I am supposed to vote on a proposition today about whether we should increase the tax for the library so that it is .236459%. I am having a hard time even comprehending that type of number.
Oh, btw, lara is doing great in her big girl bed. this morning, she got up a little too early for my taste -7am(I personally think she is still adjusting to daylight savings time), but it didn't bother me. she headed into the living room and rummaged through the toy box while i worked my way out of bed. it was a little weird though to hear someone else moving around the house before me. now i just need to teach her how to make us breakfast.
sorry that my grammar looks bad. i am missing the following letter caps from my keyboard: shift, H, up arrow, and FN. this is why you should never let a toddler play on your laptop.
