Houston, we have a problem.

I did a bad thing.

This just shows you how anti-commitment I am.

Yesterday, I decided I would work out to my pilates video. The day got away from me, so I told myself I would work out after the girls were in bed. As I sat there nursing the baby at 7:30pm, the desire to just sit on the couch for the rest of the evening took over me. So that's what I did.

But first, I had an even greater desire to eat something with chocolate in it. I rumaged through the cabinets, skipping the chips, the popcorn, hoping perhaps I would find a long abandoned bag of chocolate chips. I wouldn't mind if the expiration date said Jan 1, 1806. Chocolate! To my dismay, there was nothing. Then I had a thought:

Homemade Brownies.

I'd never before made just simple homemade brownies, but I didn't think it would be appropriate to just pour the unsweetened cocoa powder in my mouth, so I sought out a recipe.

A few ingredients and 40 minutes later, I sat on the couch, eating warm, homemade brownies, sprinkled with powdered sugar, and glazed with guilt.

This isn't bad because I skipped my exercise session. This is bad because now, I know, I'm gonna make homemade brownies all the stinking time.

Or at least until the cocoa runs out.

Today, I said to Dustin, "I think next time I will make a whipped topping to put over the brownies, then sprinkle it with heath bars..." Dustin laughed and said "You have a problem."

Hi, I'm Jennifer...

Summer Start

Dustin and I planted tomato plants last night.  The evening was stunningly beautiful. Granted I had to put on a sweatshirt, but it was on...
