Hangin' out at home today. This was Lara about 2am last night.
She got a bit sick with throwing up. To pass the time in between throwing up times, I let Lara watch a movie in her room. After about 2-3 hours, she is better and falls asleep.
She was fine today, just tired. In fact, before bed tonight, we played a game of dodge ball. We just run around the living room and hit each other with a ball. This led to a pillow fight. This led to Claire wrestling with her teddy bear.
The other day, Lara asked me: Mom, are we stuck in this world?
Me: Um...yes.
Lara: We can't get out of it?
Me: You would need to be an astronaut, then you could go to the stars.
Lara: Can we climb up there?
Claire is doing a little more walking and talking. Such a cutie-pie. She will say, "Hello," and hold her hand up to her ear like she is talking on the phone. So that, often, when you tell Claire to say hi, she will put her hand on ear and babble something, instead of waving to you. Lara did this for a little while too.
Claire is a daddy's girl. She likes Daddy the best. When he comes home from work, she gets excited and crawls to him as fast as she can. She always wants him to hold her, and will always hold her chubby little hand out to him.
Lara doesn't use her walker anymore! Joy! It's been hung up on our garage wall for quite some time now. Most of you already know this. Yes, she walks on her toes quite badly, although she IS able to put her heels down when she tries. She is doing such a fantastic job, and is improving in her yoga exercises too. She has very little overall strength, but I am sure that is something she gets from me, and has little to do with CP. ;) Lara has such a good attitude about it, and always tries to do things on her own.
