Baby, it's cold outside.
Getting back into a good routine of school, chores, bedtimes, etc. Girls are calming down. Lara and I finished the last lesson in her reading curriculum yesterday. She is now reading well at a first grade level. We were invited to a play date with friends yesterday, and another one tomorrow, and another one on Monday. It's hard to stay in a good routine sometimes. ;) Chicken & noodles are on the stove. The girls didn't nap much so they are resting the night away with movies in the living room.

I've been studying/reading a fantastic book called "Pagan Christianity." (Viola & Barna) It is a really amazing book to read, but I would say it is really just for seasoned Christians. It is a little too much to digest if you are newer to the faith. If you are a seasoned Christian, I strongly suggest you pick up a copy and read it. The general idea of the book is that the way we do Church in our American institutionalized way is very contrary to what the New Testament prescribes in the Bible. In fact, most of our traditions are born from a pagan worship mentality! It can be easy to shrug your shoulders and say, "Well, I'm not too concerned about it, the church is okay, my relationship with Christ is strong." But if you were to read this book, I guarantee those nonchalant attitudes would be wiped out, and you would be asking yourself what in the WORLD you are doing on Sunday mornings. Good luck. Think outside the box.

Happy Winter-stay warm!

Summer Start

Dustin and I planted tomato plants last night.  The evening was stunningly beautiful. Granted I had to put on a sweatshirt, but it was on...
