Lara was at Grandma's yesterday and the day before (a big thank you to them). I seriously spent ALL Sunday night ON the couch, watching movies. It was heavenly. But I made up for it on Monday by doing a lot of cleaning that I normally don't do because I use my daughter as an excuse. I scrubbed down our bathrooms, did laundry, sanitized all of Lara's toys, grocery shopped, vacuumed...
Thanks to Dustin's aunt and uncle for letting us borrow their toy box! I am pleased that I do not have toys all over my living room now....wait....
Speaking of toys, it's true. I spoil Lara. I need to make a rule that I am not buying her anymore toys. I don't buy her toys because I just like to buy her stuff (not entirely anyway). But as a result of my teaching genes, I see such educational value in certain toys, that I feel I MUST get them. For example, yesterday, I insisted on buying her a shape-sorter, and now Lara is getting an excellent grasp on her shapes. It's awful. On top of that, yesterday Dustin wanted to buy her this HUGE white stuffed bunny. It is almost as big as her and it is being saved for her Easter present. She is spoiled. In my defense, the bunny only cost $1.39 (yay for thrift stores). After going through my washing machine, it's very nice. I am wondering if going to Grandma's every month is such a good idea now...Lara always comes home to more toys. Okay, I am done! All done! No more toys!
