Baby clothes

Yesterday, I was in a serious organizing mood...so I packed away Lara's 0-12 month clothing. *Boohoo* on growing up. Actually, not really. 16 months is much funner than 2 months, let me tell you!

I went through all of her clothes, put my initials on the tags, organized them according to size, and packed them away into large tubs. Maybe that signifies a chapter in my life closed, who knows?

I also needed to do this since I have clothes from other people who are expecting their clothes to be returned, and I needed to sort them out. I am not sure why people do that, LEND baby clothes. You're taking a risk, you know, for getting only 40% of the clothes returned to you, and 20% of them will have vomit or poop all over them. Your risk, I'm telling you. And for that matter, I'm especially not interested in borrowing baby clothes from the 80's that already HAVE spit up on them. Moms, sometimes it really is okay to just (please) THROW YOUR BABY CLOTHES AWAY. Nobody wants them. Really, we don't. I keep putting myself in these situations, when I'm on my way out the door, and a friend says, "Oh, here, take some baby clothes!" Half way down the street in my car, I hear them yelling, "BUT I WANT THEM BACK!!!!" Which is understandable if they still plan to have more children, but they don't. So I go home with this big box of clothes, and I sort through it, and find ALL of these clothes that I am thinking I would NEVER put on my child. But I feel bad to just hand the box back and say, "Sorry, they just didn't...um...work out for Lara." There's a box of borrowed baby clothes out in my garage right now. I truly believe that if the moths get to them this summer, they will be doing all of us a huge favor.

Anyway, if anyone would like to borrow Lara's old clothes, just let me know. BUT I WANT THEM BACK!!!
Lara is wearing her clothes inside out for "Inside Out Backwards Day" at [Kidstuf] church.

I love the photo of her in the plastic tub. Lara is changing so much right before my eyes on this blog. I can't wait to see her again!

I love you Lara,
Grandma

Summer Start

Dustin and I planted tomato plants last night.  The evening was stunningly beautiful. Granted I had to put on a sweatshirt, but it was on...
