Of course Lara is at that age where she is too mature to giggle with glee at peek-a-boo (unless Daddy is doing it) or laugh at a little stuffed animal that's getting thrown into the air. She's at that age where she will smile when she wants to, thank you, and it doesn't help when strangers are flashing lights and making silly noises at her. That's just simply weird. So she was giving us a bit of hard time.
The photographer made Lara cry at one point, by making some kind of loud, sneezing type noise. I can't remember if he was doing it to get Lara's attention on the camera or if he just needed to sneeze, but either way, we had to break so I could calm her down from her tears. It was a loud noise, and when Lara is already feeling testy, she is really sensitive to that. The photographer also took a piece of cardboard and fanned it in front of her face. Now, Lara gets a kick out of that if I'm doing that to her at home, but when it's some strange guy, it's not so cool. She didn't like it, but apparently he thought if he just tried it a couple more times, she'd decide to start liking it. It also would mess up her hair, by way of it completely covering her eyes, so I would have to run over and fix it...again. It was a frustrating experience, especially for Lara.
Remind me, please, the next time I mention doing pictures, that I need to NOT go to that place I don't like. Because you get what you pay for.
Isn't she a beaut?
