The Morning...

..has consisted of
1. babysitting friends/neighbors' daughter. So we all
2. went on a short walk to the post office .and.
3. chased bubbles .and.
4. had a snack of oranges and cheese .and.
5. colored .and.
6. built a tent .and.
7. played with toys while I cleaned the kitchen
.and all of this was done while I.

a. answered the same 2 questions (in keeping with toddler curiosity) all morning: Why? and What are you doing?
b. constantly attended to Lara who was crying terribly unless extremely distracted and unless chewing vigorously on a teething toy.
c. counted down the minutes until I could put Lara down for bed.
The afternoon began with...
1. Neighbors coming home with lunch for us all .and.
2. Me inviting them to stay and eat with us .and.
3. Lots of messes being made with a 2.5yr old, 1.5 yr old, and 7mo old eating in a small room. so.
4. When they left, I swept, moppped, scrubbed the table, put everything away. but.
5. Just before doing this, I put Lara down for bed and lifted up a silent prayer of thanksgiving that toddlers are generally wired to take a long nap every day. This just proves that God knows how much a person can handle.

Now I am off to make a grocery list, one of my most hated chores, second to cleaning the bathrooms.

Dustin and I planted tomato plants last night.  The evening was stunningly beautiful. Granted I had to put on a sweatshirt, but it was on...
