Yesterday, we worked hard on getting the baby's room cleaned out. It was our office, so we had the awful task of trying to figure out how to fit all that furniture into the rest of the house. Our house is really small, so it was a little stressful for me, but I'm pleased to say we've just about got it all worked out. And, turns out, it feels better. The process has made us declutter and reorganize, and while I would love a bigger house, I do see the benefits of a living in a small house. It forces you to simplify and, well, there's less cleaning!!
We went to church this morning, and Dustin decided Lara was going to wear panties. That is really how good she's gotten at potty-training. She is always in panties now and will go right away when you put her on the potty. But Dustin worked in the nursery this morning, so he was able to watch her signs and take her himself. I am not sure how comfortable she would be with someone else taking her. She might be just fine with it now that she's totally comfortable using the potty. The problem is that Lara will not tell you when she needs to go-you have to be paying attention to her body language and whining. This morning, she did tell Dustin once that she was about to be wet. But we are trying to teach her to say "potty please," which for some reason she won't do. She threw a huge tantrum this morning because she didn't want to leave church, and she made the excuse that she needed to use the potty, so she wouldn't have to leave right away (so I guess she did sort of ask then). Yep, I'd say she's doing good. Now, we have to work on poo-poo in the potty. We've been trying that a little, and it's like starting potty-training all over again.
