update on bottom

Recently, Lara has become afraid of the dark. Coincidentally, Nana gave Lara some "fairy lights." They are flowers that sort of glow for brief amounts of time-you just click on a button underneath them to turn them on, and they turn off by themselves after an extended period of time. They are not bright, but they bring Lara a lot of security. They are not hot to the touch, and they are soft, so Lara will hold them to her when she goes to sleep at night. If she wakes up and sees that they are off, she will turn them back on, but usually once she is asleep, the dark does not bother her in her brief wakings.

Please note in your calendars that Claire will be dedicated on May 9, during our Kidstuf worship at 11:19am. We would love to have our friends & families there during this very special time. For those with young children, Kidstuf is a child-oriented worship service, so they can be silly and loud and we will love them for it. :) I am going to attempt to provide a light lunch for everyone afterward. So please let me know if you can come. We would love it if you could. But Claire has no clue, so don't feel bad if you can't. ;-) Your name will simply go down in the "People Who Did Not Come" column in the baby book, but you could probably send enough presents over time to eventually get your name whited-out.

Please pray for a little boy named Jude; we know his family from church. He is two years old, and has been in the hospital since just before Easter. He's got an awful case of pneumonia, and they are now talking about surgery b/c the fluid has hardened in his lungs. Jude's mommy is pregnant with twins, about 32 weeks now, and is on bedrest because of elevated blood pressure due to the stress of this situation. I am just feeling sad, and scared, for them, so please send up some prayers for this little guy. He was recently transferred to Carle.
UPDATE: Jude does not need surgery now! They did another CT scan, and it looks like the fluid around his lungs is going away. They can maybe go home tomorrow! Yay!!

Summer Start

Dustin and I planted tomato plants last night.  The evening was stunningly beautiful. Granted I had to put on a sweatshirt, but it was on...
