On Monday night, my dad took my sisters and I out to eat. He really spoiled us: he took us out to eat at a nice restaurant, reserving a table by the fireplace. (Whenever I go to my parents' in the winter, I always give them a hard time if they do not have a fire going for me in the fireplace!) I was surprised that we were there for a little over two hours, just talking and laughing, and exchanging tidbits of advice. Dad also got us a girls a nice present and slipped us a good sum of money as we were leaving. But what was really special was having our dad pray blessings over us and speak words of truth in our lives. He encouraged us in the obstacles and battles we are facing now, and have yet to face, and spoke courage to our hearts. We discussed how to eliminate those "negative confessions" in our lives-the untruths of our lives-and have the Faith to achieve our greatest purposes. I am so thankful for such a great night out with my dad and my sisters!
Today, I am doing some last minute Christmas preparations. Last night, I tried taking the girls' picture by the Christmas tree. Since Claire does not ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever sit still, and isn't a real smiley baby, it was not easy.
Don't worry, Lara was laughing and being crazy right along with Claire. :)
