Every Ten Years

We are back in Prince Edward Island.  I honestly NEVER thought I would be here again, and yet, here we are, my favorite place on Earth (out of the places I know, which isn't very many).  We are here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.  We came here on our honeymoon, many moons ago, and have returned before another moon can pass us by.

We arrived around 2am on Wednesday (which is midnight our time, but after a day of traveling and stressing about flying, it definitely felt like 2am).  We flew to Moncton, New Brunswick and drove the remaining distance to PEI. Yesterday, we relaxed and did all the things I enjoy doing on a date.  We had lunch by the ocean, then a nap, then shopping;movie;late-night pizza.

Today, we drove to Winsloe North so Dustin could pick up some gouda cheese.  More shopping, followed by a show put on by local performers.  It was very fun and entertaining.  It also afforded us a deeper look into PEI life, and that was interesting.  We then took a walk down "Victoria Row," a walking street with lots of restaurants, but we were sadly unimpressed.

We are staying at the same Bed & Breakfast that we stayed at 10 years ago.
The weather here has been really nice, in the 70-80's, and mostly sunny. The girls are spending time with all the grandparents and their Aunt Karee.
Apparently, this is the only escalator in all of Prince Edward Island.  That is not completely believeable, except that that is a pretty serious Safety Rules sign.

Once we get back, we'll start homeschooling, so this trip marks the end our summer.  Because of that, I am trying hard to remember to give myself some down time on this trip.  Having down time feels very unnatural to me.  I feel that I should always be moving, learning, exercising, reading, exploring, etc. We do have quite a bit on the agenda this week, but so far, I am getting in a nap every day. :)

Summer Start

Dustin and I planted tomato plants last night.  The evening was stunningly beautiful. Granted I had to put on a sweatshirt, but it was on...
