MRI results.

Lara's MRI results are in. (They were in last week but they were trying to contact me on my broken phone.) Anyway, the results...drum roll please....

NORMAL.

I know what you are thinking, and your guess is as good as mine. This happens sometimes. The MRI is not always specific to the child. Originally, I decided I did not want to do an MRI for this reason. But all of our doctors encouraged us, so I consented, believing that this was a necessity after all to get to the bottom of this.

Anyway, now the doctor is asking about our family history of any types of disorders (which, as far as we know, there is no history of anything). I wouldn't be surprised if we needed to go in for genetic testing.

Regardless, Lara is still doing great. We had our last visit today from the developmental therapist, who didn't need me to tell her that she is no longer needed. The therapist had already decided she was going to discharge Lara. We all agree that Lara has come a long way in just 6 months. So, whatever the answer is, (and I am starting to think we might not ever get one) I believe the general outcome will be the same, which is: a very healthy growing girl!!

(I am also breathing a sigh of relief that I don't have to have a discussion/ or see pictures showing any brain damage. I think that would be scary for me, even knowing my daughter is fine.)

SO, this does not mean that Lara does not have CP. It means that we have to think about ruling out anything else and also that it could be simply that she does have CP that simply didn't show on the MRI. It also doesn't indicate the level of severity of CP.

In essence, it doesn't really mean anything.

Summer Start

Dustin and I planted tomato plants last night.  The evening was stunningly beautiful. Granted I had to put on a sweatshirt, but it was on...
