Aidan, my cat, appears to really like her as well.
Lara had PT today; here she is with Miss Gretchen. Miss Gretchen is a very smart therapist, and gives me a lot of ideas and exercises to do with Lara at home. We tried on the AFOs, and I was impressed. Immediately, Lara began to maintain some balance in the standing position. Just a little, but it was such an encouraging thing to see.
I do not have too many pictures of OT, but we go all over in PT, so I have more of a variety for that.
Generally, Lara does really well in both OT and PT. She is really motivated, and gives everything a try. She interacts very well with her therapists, and she NEVER cries (except when we don't let her on the stairs).
Here are the infamous steps. Lara does great at going up and down by herself. It's all she would rather do the entire hour of therapy, actually.

Here you can see the braces. These are just used, trial braces. If we feel they are really beneficial, we will have some made for her [hopefully] soon. They also may not be this tall, as we might choose to go with the AFO that goes just over the ankle...we aren't really sure what's best right now.

Go, Lara!! We are very proud of all the hard work Lara has done. We also owe a huge thanks to Trisha and Gretchen, who we could not have done this without!
